Warrior Caste of Rive de Bois
General Guidelines
1) The Red Caste is the lowest of the five High Castes of Gor. All members are taught the Second Knowledge. All males of the Red Caste will also be taught standard weapons and dress of Warriors of Gor, the spear, short sword, shield, and helmet.
2) Anyone wishing to become a Warrior of Rive de Bois, must be sworn to the Homestone.
3) Women may be members of the Caste by right of birth or companionship. They are not fighters, however, and will NOT be recognized as such.
4) Delete and restore characters are not allowed. Screen names must be active. If for any reason a SN must be deleted for a time, please let the chairs know of this prior to the deletion. The inability to send/receive Caste news is important, therefore, if a character's screen name comes up with unable to send/deliver mail, that screen name will be deleted from the Roster after three {3} consecutive unsuccessful tries.
5) There may be times that a Warrior finds himself in a situation that is not appropriate behavior for a member of the Red Caste. These type of situations may include such events as theft, murder, disrespect, being collared, public indecency and drunken behavior. It is the consensus of the Council that these incidents should be initially brought up with the Magistrate and Administrator of Rive de Bois. Should they be found guilty, then the First Chair will report back to the Council and present the documentation and decision. The status of the warrior in question would then be decided upon. All decisions are then final and the warrior will be told of their new status in the Caste. However if the matter is resolved privately and no documentation is presented to the Warrior's Caste, First chair or to the Council, then the Warrior's caste would have no decision to make, and in fact, would not even be aware of any infringement made by the character/warrior.
6) Since the concept of Gor is an adult theme, all muns of the Warrior's character must be eighteen {18} years of age and over.
7) While AOL Gor is based upon the books, not completely ruled by them, the Red Caste of Rive de Bois still adheres to the basic structure laid out within them. As a result, the Caste will not allow nor recognize any female in an inappropriate role, such as Warrior, or Magistrate {Jr. Magistrate or Assistant is acceptable} as these are reserved for the men of Gor. They will also not allow any known outlaw into the Caste. The Caste also stands by the rule that a person can only practice/declare one Caste.
8) Only the Caste Council will have the authority to remove a warrior from the caste, unless prior removal by the Administrator/Magistrate of our Home Stone. First Chair will hold final decision on said removal.
9) Slaves do not have a Caste and are not considered part of any Red Caste.
10) Males from other lands such as Torvaldsland, Tahari, the Barrens, Wagon Peoples, Alars, or others who do not belong to the Gorean Caste System may join the Warrior's Caste of Rive de Bois, if sworn to the Homestone, and will follow our precepts while within the Central lands of Gor.
11) Only one member of any given House may sit on the Council at any given time.
12) The Scarlet can not be taken from a man, except by death. Even those branded Outlaw or kajirus can return to the Scarlet and redeem themselves with time, although Honor is a precious thing and once lost, it is hard to find again.
